hey stranger, did i make the right decision?
Preowned sucks. My Audi was preowned. They replaced a clutch that blew three days after I got the car. Then they neglected to attach 2 bolts to the clutch assembly. Buy from an Audiforums member and save money, hassle, and keep the community alive.

I'd personally stay away from a dealer that does that type of financing. Also, price shouldn't bedetermined by payment method. How is your credit? Also, when dealing with these types of dealerships they'll make promises to fix any problems. Don't believe them and get it in writing. Theywill forget after the sale.
You might want to consider getting a certified pre-owned. With that kind of down payment you'd have good equity, a low rate of depreciationand financing should be easy and a good credit builder.
But yea, your price ranges seem average. I guess it's market value, just not a great deal.

I've stayed away from Audi dealerships because they tend to be a bit expensive, and that coupled with finance rates and my bad credit score.. (no cosigner), I figured it would be smarter to stay away. but I'll look into it and check out a few in my area and see what they can offer me. i guess they are probably the most reliable people to go through. Any advice?
Thanks for all the replies.. you all are more than helpful.
By the way, I'd love a b5s4 but as it was mentioned it's more money to maintain and higher insurance. i'm using most of my savings for this car, so i'm trying to minimize the damage so I can save up again quickly.
you are not going to get a nice B5 S4 for 11k.... for that price, it will have high mileage and other issues. There are still alot of B5's('01) cars out there with good miles, for less then 10k.I would keep looking for an '02 if you like that body style.
Also, have you considered an A6? a good portion of them have the 2.7TT like the B5 S4, and it seems to me that the A6 prices are equal to a4 prices if not the a4's costing a bit more. I know that doesn't make much sense, but thats the way the market is, with the A4 being the most popular audi....
