for frontrak launching is very easy, but also easy to spin the tires. You have to slip the clutch out around 2.8 rpm, but if you slip it to fast and hit the gas to hard you will spin and if you do it to slow you will bog down. the best way to do it is to release until you know it wont bog and then just apply the gas pedal quickly as you release the clutch

I've had a Mustang, an Accord a Maxima and an Rx-7...By far the Audi is the hardest to launch...With the other cars its a matter of finding the correct rpm so you will get minimal tire spin...Especially the Rx-7...With the audi however its clutch work...From my experience rev to around 3,000 Rmp's and let off slowly until the car gets rolling...From here pop the clutch and stomp hard on the gas...If you dump the clutch from the start your car will hesitate until you put your foot back on the clutch and rev again...it takes practice but once you get it once you will have it. Depending on your mods shifting can be different..With mine I can go a little past redline due to my mods...But don't try it stock...you loose power after 5700 Rpm's...

hey i have a gt28r turbo with a remus cat back, stage II upgraded ecu, and adjustable fuel pressure regulator....supposedly 215whp/215wtq. Im not sure if the clutch is upgraded, but it feels like it. Won't it hurt the tranny to just dump the clutch? Im sorry Ive always driven fwd cars and Im afraid of breaking the transmission and having to fix it.
Also, any ideas of what my car is capable of in the 1/8th with new toyo proxes t1-s tires?
Thanks.
Josh

If ur only making 215whp on gt28r, u have some problems, ko4s can make more then that.
