interior light issue

interior light issue
I just recently bought a '04 A4 1.8T. When I first got the car, the overhead interior light would come on when you open the door, then when you started the car it would slowly dim out. It would do the same when you opened the door and then dim out when you locked the doors. Now, the light will stay on the whole time including when you lock the doors. The switch for the light is still in the center position just like when it use to dim out automatically. Also, now the hazard light switch on the dash stays lite even if you switch every light off and lock the doors. The rear window safety switch on the drivers door does the same- stays lit when every thing else is off and the car is locked. Any ideas?

RE: interior light issue

RE: interior light issue
Thanks for the response. I need to really take a look at it this weekend. The overhead light, and the two switches are somehow getting a low voltage even though anything else is turned off. If I have the overhead light at the center position and switch it to the on position, I can see the light get lights get brighter. I guess I will look at relays or fuses related to the comfort system module. I printed off wiring diagrams and component locations that I need to take a look at.
