How do you know you are running lean? Codes?

How many miles on your car? Could be that your fuel filter is getting clogged.

Last time my vag worked and I could get a code I was running lean, thats all it said so I followed the advice and did the maf/leaky hose thing. My car has 92kish miles on it, a little less I think, but like I said the hoses were all shot to crap, so I don't know what else could need replacing that I just didn't see. See, boost gauges DO help, if I hadn't put it in I woulda had those beat to all hell lines still there.

Vacuum leak would cause a lean additive code.
Clogged injectors would cause a lean mult code.

Fix your vacuum lines and throw in some good injector cleaner (techron or redline) and see if codes return.
