Default Looking into buying an A4

Either an 02, 03, or 04. As you can see by my name, I've been a honda owner for some time. I've owned two Accord's, 92 and 93. I basically know everything about that car. Did all the upgrades I can do to it...swapped engines...everything. I recently got into an accident, which wasn't my fault and now deciding to stray away from the Honda area for a bit.
My first choice is the Audi A4 1.8T. I've been researching it some and it seems pretty easy to get some power out of these engines.
Questions...
1. Are they reliable?

2. Is it expensive to upgrade? Like suspension, bigger turbos, ecu chips...etc.

3. Is the market on products (lips, rims...etc...) for this car as big as say Honda?

Thanks!

whats expensive - $6-7k you can be puttin down 350-400hp - search for prices - and we don't like body kits, wheels search for 5x112 and see all that is available

I hate body kits too...I had a front lip on my car and that was it. I like to keep things clean. That's why I like the A4 so much...its a very clean car.

never mind..scratch all what I just said lol. I just read the sticky.

Last question...

When looking into buying a used Audi...I should see if they changed the timing belt if the miles are close to 60-70k, correct?
