limp mode makes sense...but heat soak could also be causing the problem. after driving a turbo car for a while the intake and intercooler (depending on how much it flows) gets heat soaked. like our bodies when we get hot, we sweat.. lol, thats the best way i can explain it, but this causes not as much air flow through those components, hence giving you a slower car.

haha i know the car doesnt sweat, we get hot, than wet from sweat, car gets hot, than it gets wet as well...see how that kinda works in the same way...
i get my girl hot, she gets wet as well...
