Ok so i worked out all the details today and the payment. The guy however has a loan on the car. He wants me to pay him the 15,000 up front so he can pay off his loan and get the title. I dont think giving this guy 15,000 without anything in return is such a good idea. Should i get a contract or just have him drop the car off and wait for the title later?

Any ideas?

There is a way to call the company that holds the lean om the car and tell them the situation and all of your information. Then you send the lean company the check and they issue the title to you so all you have to do is send them the check wait for the title and pick up your new car. Kind of a PIA but it should work
