Amze...I'm glad that you asked these questions..dont even need to search!

For everyone else...is there anything else involved in upgrading the chip? Is it as simple as buying it and having it installed? Also, will the HP/TQ increase have any effect on the 5MT tranny?

How hard is it to change the DV?

Thanks everone!

ORIGINAL: Amze

From what i've gathered... It seems like it'd be smartest for me to buy the items im looking to get in this order.

1st. Diverter Valve + Chip

2nd. Intake/K&N Air Filter (Cheap stuff, will be able to get it months before exhaust even if I get exhaust 2nd)

3rd. Exhaust either Bova or Milltek? (More expensive might be a little after x-mas before this takes place.
sounds good to me

yup thats it. just go in and they either solder a chip on or just flash it with either a bench flash, where they take the ecu out and hook it up to a laptop, or just flash it by hookin up a laptop through one of the cars ports. all depends on wut year you got. dv is a piece o cake to change. unclamp, switch out, reclamp. thats it. but the clamps can be a b!tch if the car is getting on in years and you'll prolly want to put new ones on.

Anyone know of a place to have your Mods put on in Dallas/Fortworth/Arlington *Texas* area? That specialize in Audis or even Volkswagons, Thanks!

Autoscope
9796 Ferguson Road
Dallas, Texas 75228

they're also a licensed GIAC dealer so u could get your chip there too. but intake and dv are a piece o cake to intall and you could do them yourself and save some money
