Is it normal for the cruise control to stop working on a chipped car
mine went out..
and the dealership is goign to fix it.. but it's not covered under the warranty due to the car being chipped.
they said they would need to reflash the EMC or something?
will this affect the chip?

Well dah, ofcouse, they are going to revert back to the stock programming.
dont let them.
and isnt the cruise switch work as a switch for the chip on some models?

If they reflash it, it will absolutey erase the "Chipped" program afterall thats the whole point
And now since they know its chipped good luck with any drivetrain problems
