power window problems....
Hah my '03 has already had one regulator go and I was told a the dealer that is a regular repair. My A4 is by FAR the most unreliable car ive ever owned, and ive owned high end VWs and BMWs and never had constant mechanical breakdowns like I do with the Audi.
I have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T and I have replaced the rear passenger window regulator not once, not twice, but you guessed it three times, last one just recently 3/12/13. It has always been on the same door, which led me to believe there was some kind of defect. Unfortunately Audi nor the Audi wholesale will never admit that there is some kind of defect on the window regulators. This one door has cost me close to $1,000.00 between parts and labor. The best solution the next time this occurs is either fix it and never open them again, or zip tie them and never open them again. The crazy thing about the zip tie is that is what i did the last time, but for some crazy reason, it was draining my battery and my anti theft system was enganging not allowing me to start my car
i used to have to click mine about 20 times to get them to go down, replace the switch first. one way to know for sure is to hold the key in the unlock pose on the driver door, if all the windows go down its just a switch!
