Shift points

5000. Theres a flat spot after that so you won't be making any power. Keep in mind that the trans USUALLY refuses to shift from 3-4-5 at WOT. You'll have to ease off like a manual or it'll hit the rev limiter.

Redline is best for max power. It will make sure that when you get into the next gear your rpms will be higher for more power. You have NA so you shouldnt have a real power drop above 5k rpms or significant heat soak. Your tranny should not refuse to shift from 3-4-5 at WOT. Maybe a tcu problem.

That flat spot after 5500 is well known on the 2.8. Why go all the way to redline when the optimal shift point has been passed? (rhetorical) Let me clarify. The trans doesn't just refuse to shift, it hesitates. But only at high speeds and WOT. This is also common on the 2.8 tip. Theres nothing wrong with the tcu. All that said I think audi's tip is one of the most responsive. I've driven a few "tip" acuras and bmws and they all kinda suck.
