What everyone is saying is that, Yes the CAT is very restricive, but if you don't a least upgrade your stock exhaust then your kinda pissin in the wind. the TP is not going to give you the same results as someone else that has a turbo back exhaust. Lets look at this like an assembly line

first operation you have 10 guys working - Turbo
second operation you have 20 guys working - TP
third operation you have 8 guys working - stock exhaust -

does adding more guys to the middle get you any more output in the end - yeah you can work the hell out of the 8 poor bastards and get a little more out of them, but soon they are gonna form a union and strike aginst you - then you have deal with the government and..........nevermind - I think I've made my point

Okay I appreciate your point, it helps when you spell it out to new guys like me. Considering I am having cat issues anyway, would it still work to do the TP for now, and then exhaust in the near future, or will my union workers go on strike before I have a chance to improve working conditions?

will it turn the check engine light on?

and to akielb, I dont want to throw a ton of money into an exhaust right now and im just looking to free up a couple extra possible pounds of boost. im just thinking the cat is holdingthe turbo back.I also dont want a fart pipe sound either.I hate those sounds. Id rather it be quiet or close to it.

Just put a test pipe on about 2 weeks ago. Absolutely love it!! Feels like alot more hp than I was expecting. Do the nonfouler mod and you wont get a cel.
