Default Transmission trouble on 03 a4 !

Hey guys i'm brand new on here and need help from anyone who might know about this. I have a 2003 a4 3.0 with about 95k that i got for over a year now. About 4 months ago i noticed a jump in the tranny when its in 1st gear. Eventually i took it to the dealer to have the fluid flushed and the jumping stopped. Now its back again and much worse. It almost feels as if its slipping making a lot of noise while trying to shift from one gear to the next. It's a cvt tranny so i know this is a problem. Whenever i drive using the tiptronic it shifts fine with no problem so thats what got me stumped. The code for the tranny is GGR. My questions are do i need to get a new tranny, what do you guys think about rebuilding a tranny like this one and if rebuilding is bad where can i look to find a used tranny for this car. Finally what price range am i talking. thanks in advance

You may want to try taking it to a private garage that specializes in european cars for an estimate. From what I've heard, there are magnets that make it shift which can come loose. Hopefully it's something simple. Good luck.

The cvt has had some issues. For the most part the fix is to replace the tranny and filter along with a flush of the cooler. Rebuilding it is kinda tough as its not like most all trans on the market. Youve seen the nissan commercials advertiseing this "new" technology right. Theyve been around for a while on audis but rebuiling info is kinda hard to find. Theres at least 3 tech bullitins about this trans which usually suggest replacement of the trans. You best bet is probably to change the fluid again so the noise goes away and get as far away from that car as you can.
