windows squeaking
Ok so all of my windows are squeaking when they roll down....i did a search and found a little about it....my thing is i know i need to put the silicon on the window ...juts dont know where....do i put it inside the trim around the window or do i need to take the door out and put it somewhere in there....can i just spray some stuff into the door?...any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
thanks
I have never had this problem on an Audi, but I used to own a mustang gt, and i sprayed some wd40 near the bottom window corners, or you could try spraying with the windows up in the bottom corners. Worst case, the window trim has lost most of the felt surface and you can replace them, and there should be no noise. the noise is most likely caused by the wear of the rubber trim/felt, and it is squeeking because it is only rubber to glass.........

wouldn't you think it's the rubber/felt trim wearing away creating the sqeak in the corner?

As for where you put the lube..... you see when you roll the window up and down right? Spray the lube in the guides on each side of the glass when the window is rolled down so it doesn't get on the glass.
