Hello, This is my first post i love this forum.


well here is my problem i went out of town and didnt start my audi for about a Month. I just got back tonight and tried to start it. The start kicks on i can hear the car trying to start. It will not kick over at all like it has no gas.

It just makes a WINEing noise and thats it " like the starter kicks on and thats it". ALl the light come on in the car and radio turns on as well. DO you think i need a jump?

any help will be so grateful, I start school in 1 week and need it to get back and forth to my classes.

slow crank and gets slower..... or fast steady crank and no start?

 

Sound like the starter bendix is not kicking in and only the starter is spinning. Charge the battery up and try it with a fully charged battery.

 

Ya, I agree with the allnighter, the engine is not rotating, because the bendix is not engaged with the flywheel. The report that the car sat for some long period, is a clue that the battery may be a bit low on charge.
