Anaerobic Sealant - Why still wet after 1 week?
So this was my 1st time using Permatex anaerobic sealant. Used it btwn tensioner gasket & 1/2 moon seal and bwtn tensioner & tensioner gasket. That was ~week ago, and the slight excess on the outside is still wet to the touch. Is this right? I'm concerned that it didn't cure & will leak oil whenever I get engine running again. I'm now debating if I should remove it & replace with locktite RTV. For you guys that have successfully used it before, is this normal?

Thanks. Also, I did some searching and I'm now somewhat more comfortable with this, although it's 1st time I ever used it. So it's the sealant that you can't see that hopefully has cured in the absence of O2. So I chose to leave it assembled as-is. Boy I'd be pissed if I disassembled & it was cured underneath. But I'll be more pissed if it leaks like crazy when started. Keeping fingers crossed.
