Buying an A6
Hi, I am new to this forum and it seems to have some pretty educated people on it. I am in the market to buy an A6. The two I am looking at are a 1999 2.8 all wheel loaded with leather and so on. It has 100k on it and they are asking $9900.
The other is a 2000 A6 2.7t awd. It has 115k on it. Both auto
I am very familiar with turbo cars and the mileage on the 2000 scares me just a little bit. I'll be checking these cars out this weekend. What should I look for? Are the miles to high? Are these chain driven or t belts? Thanks for the help.

RE: Buying an A6
I have a 99 also with 95,000 on it. They are timing belt driven with the manufacturer recommending replacement between 90 and 105,000. The bill is about 1,200. I just had the transmission fluid and filter changed, bill was 550. They are expensive to repair but the car is awesome to drive and still looks like a million buck. Hope this helps.
