My $.02 - not sure what causes the cloudiness, but yellowing sounds like UV damage. I've used Armor-All on my lenses after every washing and never had these two problems. However, my car is also garaged and in Michigan, where the weather is "beautiful" all year around but there's no real intense sunshine.
