This may seem like a dumb question, but I know nothing about HID headlamps. My drivers side HID headlight burned out last week, or so I thought. I removed the old bulb, and ordered and new one, and niether one works. They both kind of flicker for a sec and then go out, but they do it over and over everytime your turn the lights on, so are they burned out, or is it another problem (i.e. wiring, ballast, etc.)???

Any insight would be aprreciated

 

It would be the ballast. My passenger side one was doing that, put a multimeter on it and it wasnt getting the required juice. You can find used ballasts on Ebay for fairly cheap.
