Hello all - just picked up an '01 A6 Avant. This is my 3rd Audi, and even when I wasn't driving one they always caught my eye. Only issue I have caught so far on the A6- are there any known issues with seat heaters? is there any other indicator that they are working other then warmth and the number dialed on the control? Mine don't seem to be getting very warm (steering wheel does). I already checked the fuse, and it looks good. Thanks for any insights that can be offered!

 

I think there is an issue if someone kneels in the seat, the wires under the cusion can break. I would have those checked.

 

the wires are known to rub and short and cause all kinds of problems. get under the seat with a flashlight...
