Default P0368 Camshaft Sensor

My CEL has been on a few days now and finally had a chance to get to a parts store and hook it up to the OBD reader. Only one code is set: P0368 "The PCM has determined that the voltage signal from the camshaft position sensor "B" is too high for the current engine operating conditions. (Bank 1) (bank #1 identifies the location of the cylinder #1. while bank 2 identifies the cylinders on the opposite bank)

How hard of a replacement job is this? Does anyone have a visual tutorial?

first off P0386 is the crank shaft position sensor( CKP )not the cam sensor,
possible faults are insecure sensor/rotor, air gap, wiring, CKP

edit: THEN AGAIN P0368 is the cam sensor ( got to get new glasses )ill take a picture of where they are and you should be able to understand how to change it and not difficult when you take the top cover the timing belt

Here's where it's at on 2.7T. I suspect it's at similar loction on 3.0
Bank 1 CPS shown in figure on thread #78. The bank 1 CPS is 23.

If I recall correctly, the 2.7 requires some acrobatics to replace without removing the egr valve.

Could I also see a picture? Working on a 2004 a6 avant 3.0 with the same P0368 code. Hoping its just a sensor.

I would try cleaning the MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor)-
. Use only MAF Cleaner (CRC brand is good)
