Default upper control arms

Hi, I'm looking at changing the upper control arms on my 2000 Audi A6 4.2. I've already got the arms , just need to know the best way to go at changing then out. Thanks for any advise Ken

Remove the wheel.

Spray the crap out of the bolts with liquid wrench.

Completely remove the bolt from the housing that holds both upper arms in - the arms are notched so it must be completely removed.

Remove the bolts holding them into the upper wheel well and that's that. The front inner bolt may be in back wards so unbolt the strut mount and tilt it out. I cut mine and installed it the other way by persuading the spring out of my way but my bolts were not corroded. If yours are that would be a mistake because you will need to spin the bolt out.

One other thing: don't tighten the new arms all the way until the car is sitting on the ground.
