Hi,

My 2004 A8 developed a problem with the HID light on the driver side. When I start the car, the light flashes real quick (strobe light like) 3 times and then quits. ON my dashboard it is showing that the light is not working. I purchased a bulb, but I now saw the flashing thinking that it might not be the bulb.
As I realized it is not a quick thing to replace the bulb (need to remove the bumper???), should I even try?

As a general rule with HID bulbs, switching the bulb with the other headlight will eliminate other problems...letting you know if it's the bulb or an igniter or ballast.
