Tip Short to ground

Tip Short to ground
A couple months ago I was playing around in the car and I ended up slapping the crap out of my shifter while it was in D into TIP, end result... TIP not working.
VAG code:
18152 - Tiptronic Recognition Switch (F189): Short to ground
P1744-35-00
I know it isn't the switch I already troubleshot it out. On pin 13 of my TCM i have about 5-10k ohms to ground out of TIP and .2 ohms in tip. I can't really imagine the TCM would be so sensitive that 5-10k ohms would throw a code, but I am about at the point where I am going to pull pin 5 on the TCM and see if the code goes away. I did do a little research and got nothing with this code on the A8s.
Jokes about my indiscretion are ok at this point. I learned my lesson, I HIT my A8 and it she back harder. I have apologized to her. (Went kinda like this) Babe I am so sorry I hit you, and I swear i will never do it again. I am a changed man.
