The engine in my 2007 Audi Q7 is toast...caused by oil pump breakdown. I've been reading all over the internet that this was a common and (known?) issue by Audi for 2006/2007 Q7 models?

My issue is that my car is no longer under warranty and I called Audi and they told me there is no known issue and cant help.

My question is, has anyone confirmed with Audi and they have admitted to the issue and if so why no recall on these?

Has anyone had any luck getting their engine fixed out of warranty?

Any help would be appreciated because it looks like Im screwed right now.
