Fault in cooling system - warning light
Hi all,
I live in the UK, and the past 2 mornings when starting up my 03' 1.8TT,a warning light comes on which I have since discovered is supposedly for a fault in the cooling system. It's the same symbol as the oil temp, but it comes up full size and in red.
It stays on for about 2-3 minutes, and then goes off. Both morning's it has been very cold (well - not compared to the ice-storms but it's been between 0c and -2.5c so colder than it has been. Bothmornings I have sat not movingfor a couple of minutes with the engine running but got bored of waiting for it to go off, so have started carefully on my journey, and within 30 secs to a minute, it goes off and I don't see it again.
Any ideas? Is this something I should worry about?
Thanks,
Karen

top off your coolant. I'm guessing that as your TT warms up the coolant expands and its no longer showing low.
