Default Haldex differential question

Hi there - I am looking at a 2003 TT roadster. Had it checked out and all they found was that if you turned a hard U-turn on pavement it would lurch and jump a bit. Mechanic said these often do that but this one is worse than most. It has 60k miles and needs haldex and diff service. No big deal - maybe that would fix the problem. But, for the experts here, what are the odds it is something more serious? After the tech found that issue, I did some tight circles in the parking lot and it does lurch around a bit - reminds me of my 4 wheel drive pickup with hubs locked in. I don't mind buying it and paying for the diff and haldex service but do not want to get into any major repairs. Thoughts?

Thanks much
Brian
