I'm looking at getting into a TT ....I almost bought one the other day but my payment was just over 400 and just counldnt do it yet. I have no ideas on the different tt's that are available and was wondering on a few differences between them

which models are 180hp and which ones are 225?
are all 6 speed or are some 5spd?
weight differences
performance gains/ losses from model to model

the one i was going to get was a red alms edition for 25k it has like 26k miles on it and was in pretty good shape. The only issue was that i couldnt get my payment low enough with 3500 down i was still looking aroudn 380-417/ mo in a few months ill be ready for that payment but not till i get one more bill paid off...

*edit* i do know that the alms edition was a limited *rare* version of the tt i do like the idea of one of those

 

is it dual exhaust? that usually a sign of the 225hp, also if its 6sp? only the 225hp is 6speed
the 225hp is quattro(all wheel drive) and is very heavy but very nimble and has around a 0-60 time of 6 secs.
For the money and miles it sounds like your getting a good deal if its the 225hp quattro hope this helps

 

yea that kinda does... so only the 6 speeds will have the 225 as well as the dual exhaust.... i would definently want the 6 speed just for resale purposes and its cooler lol... does anyone know what the weight of the car is?? when i was driving it i really liked it handled awesome was very quiet on the hwy... the only thing i dont like was when i was reading a review it said the car has 0 ft lb tq under 1800 rpm... is that true?

 

not sure about the that torque figure but its got plenty of torque around 4000rpms. the weight is around 3400lbs!!!
