I would reset the ecu so the fuel trims will be back for the 3bar instead of the 4bar fpr. If that doesnt work, still would have to look at the dv. It is either not tuned right or if its the diaphram version, it could have gone bad.

I talked to Ron from vw specialties and he said I am over boosting at 20psi. Something is wrong with the wastegate or n75 valve. He said bad DV would cause me to underboost.

What do you think?

he is right that it would cause you to underboost, are you running an upgraded boost controller or n75? It could be the n75, normally the n75 causes spikes and such if its going out. Maybe try to pick up a mbc if other see fit.

nope its stock, could the n75 be malfunctioning? How do I test it if so?

If I pickup a MBC would it fix my overboost problem? I don't want to blow my engine

if you tune the mbc to what boost you want. if you want 20 you tune it to 20 if you want less u tune it down. you won't blow your engine you would hit limp mode. this is when the engine tells the dv to put air back into the intake and not into the engine and closes the throttle body a bit to keep from engine damage. all you need to do to overcome that tune it back down to a safe level and try again.

Ok heres an update:

I installed a MBC with the N75 valve bypassed and I plugged the open ends with valve caps. I changed my spark plugs.

My car gave a EPC error and cut the gas while I was pushing it a little bit. I was able to restart the car fine.

I scanned and got only:

1 Fault Found:
17743 - Engine Torque Monitor 2: Control Limit Exceeded
P1335 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

I did some searching on the forums here and vortex but nothing..could it be related to faulty oxygen sensor or engine speed sensor? I had an oxygen sensor error before but hasnt come back since I reset the errors.

errors before the reset:

3 Faults Found:

17743 - Engine Torque Monitor 2: Control Limit Exceeded

P1335 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

17695 - Shareware Version. To Decode all DTCs

P1287 - 35-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent
