double clutching will greatly decrease the lifespan of a clutch but since TTs aren't normally RWD it would be kinda ridiculous to double clutch.
I'm not sure what exactly you meant. But if you don't rev match your downshifts you'll eat up your clutch quick...perhaps that's what you meant.

LOL that post is confused beyond recognition You don't need to "double clutch" ANYTHING that is not a semi truck or old enough to have unsynchronized gears, be it RWD or whatever.

to be quite honest it ALL really depends on the driver. the rsx-s dohc l4 engine 6spd manual puts out 200-210bhp stock. and with the right susp tuning can be extremely fast on a track. it's not as slow as one would think at least from what i originally thought. the 5spd dohc l4 on the other hand is as slow as molasses on a cold day.

The 08 Civic Ihave shares the same engine plant as the rsx type s. It puts outabout 200hp and hasthesame 6 speed and suspension as well. The things got an 8grand redline but it doesn't make peak HP until 7800 RPM. It also has a LSD so take offs arent that bad. It has somedecent power for what it is but it doesn't have that "wow" factor like I got when I first opened up the TT. I haven't even been able toreally get on it thoI am still breaking in the engine. It only has about 100 miles on it. I know for a fact tho the TT would whoop its ***..even in stock trim.
I can easily understand what you mean about driving skills in the type of sport you do. You could have the fastest car but if you don't know what you are doing out there it's useless. Hulk Hogans kid comes to mind all of the sudden.
