Default TT cluster damaged

My son and I bought a great 2000 coupe with a broken timing belt. We fixed the head, and many other small jobs and today I wanted to finish it all off with a new display in the cluster. I ruined the circuit board and now it’s virtually useless with no tach, speedo, clock, odometer. I’m gutted!

Does anyone know where to get a circuit board or a used cluster? Any help greatly appreciated!

David

Pull yours and send it to OdoPro in Colorado. They are on ebay, $100.
Did a good job on mine. If you swap another it will have to be coded...pita.

Thanks for the tip. I'll contact them to see what they can do.

I ordered a cluster last night from a junk yard because my main board is beyond salvage - I destroyed the contacts while attempting to remove the LCD. Since this is a 2000 car before the immobilizer was integrated it might just work without coding? We will see.... I imagine that it will also have a bad LCD so I will eventually send that off for repair and get the miles corrected while they're at it.

You may be right on the coding. IIRC there was a year (2000, 2001?) that they began with the Imm system.
Check the forums, I'm sure that's where I read the info.

Well, I got very lucky! I ordered a junk yard cluster from Oregon for under $100 and it works perfectly, even the display screen has been fixed in the past. I’m very relieved, but somehow in the meantime we’ve got a vacuum leak that makes it run very rough. Fun little car!
