Turbo valve question!
Hello i have some questions about turbo valve witch is mounted together with turbo!
1) What is its function?
2) I made a diagnosis and they corrected a mistake of turbo valve and my car suddenly went better! ( Maybe my new air mass meter adopted to the ecu) When this turbo valve is broken or almost broken, is it a reason why car sometimes you push pedal goes or doesnt go????? Thanks

why do you say he will need a new turbo. even though its internal wastegate it only attaches to the turbo you can just replace the wastegate forge motorsports carries them. you might need a new turbo if the wastegate is bad and you've been running it hard like that.
Thats kinda the problem Im having. My turbo isnt kicking in and Im only getting 5 psi instead of 20. But it still is a little peppy just no turbo kicking in when I get into the higher rpms. I thought it might be an open wastegate but now Im not sure. I disconnected the MAF but couldnt really tell any difference maybe a little better. After X-mas I am taking the car to a good performance shop in ATL or SC and let them look at it. I should be close to 300 HP crank.
TTsteve, what do you use to be able to know that you only get 5psi instead of 20, and how do you know that you should be close to 300 hp? I'm not questioning you personally, just trying to learn about these things.
MAF = mass air flow, right? Where is it? I almost asked "what's it do", but google + wikipedia = positively one of the greatest inventions ever

The MAF is the sensor you see just downstream of the airbox.
