Nice ghetto fix. The safety pins are an improvement, as I've seen those come off way too easily.

Are these ghetto just because they were not machined from billet aluminum? I think it's a major improvement over the stock plastic ones.

I'm guessing it's "ghetto" because it isn't OEM

To me it's a ghetto fix when you male your own oart. It's a compliment to my mind. Anyone can buy a part.

I think we mean very different things when we say "ghetto".

Thanks for the compliment though.

Hmmmm...you probably think duct tape. For me it's just a good fix that didn't use anything designed for the car. Like my breather hose fix. I replaced that crappy plastic stuff with this in a few places. It's got no Audi logo on it, but it's worked for about 70,000 miles now.

Yes. When I think of "ghetto" fixes, I'm thinking duct tape or worse. I had a similar solution for the breather hoses on my 30V when I still had it.

Nice! You went a step beyond me and just bent your own pipe to replace the plastic crap. Most of my plastic is still in good shape, but I might be headed there. I'm sure not going to pay $$ for something that carries a low volume of gas at a low pressure.

Sold the V6 last night and officially put this swap into the black! The wife is much happier.
