I have an 01.5 and the cluster is also from an 01.5 W/O ESP. I have yet to calibrate it via Vag-Com though. It works though. No rewiring needed

Yea that won't work lol.

Odered my snub mount/magnetic oil pan drain plug/and new coil pack harness to replace my cracked up harness. Ordered via ECS free shipping FTW lol. Anyone know if I can change the snub later on w/o taking the front off? I ask because I would like to just drive the damn thing already. I have access to a lift if that matters.

Got my belt on today (been procrastinating)

The belt went on a lot easier after I removed this roller (for some reason mine came pre assembled)

Everything lined back up

Hard to see my line but it's there lol

Next up cam chain tensioner gasket (a few pics of the horrible process lol what a PITA) Walky thanks for the tool! She'll be sent back this weekend.

Anyone care to guess why I had TWO half moon seals back there????? And neither one was stopping it from leaking SMH.

Me and the gasket weren't getting along

http://www.flickr.com/photos/49981109@N08/5962294843/http://www.flickr.com/photos/49981109@N08/5962294843/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/49981109@N08/, on Flickr

New gasket and half moon seal

http://www.flickr.com/photos/49981109@N08/5962853288/http://www.flickr.com/photos/49981109@N08/5962853288/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/49981109@N08/, on Flickr

Installed (minus being tightned down) A little peratex on the gasket just to be safe

http://www.flickr.com/photos/49981109@N08/5962854090/http://www.flickr.com/photos/49981109@N08/5962854090/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/49981109@N08/, on Flickr

Next up probably break down and buy a snub mount I've been putting it off but Since the front end is already off I might as well. I'll have all of the other belts (all brand new)installed tomorrow. Also changed my cam seals those were fun too.

Buttoned up everything today.

While pulling off the crank pulley I noticed that these bolts weren't going to make it if I tried tightening them (If you look the far right one is almost completly stripped out SMH)

So it was off to Ace to find a replacement

My snub mount (or whatever was left of it) defintely needed to be changed

I'll post up a funny video later. All in all it wasn't hard just time consuming (I take forever for everything if you haven't noticed lol). But the car runs the same as it did before I did the TB so I guess I did something right. At first the car was getting a little hot (straight water and it was at LEAST 100 today) I let it cool down flushed the rad and then mixed in the G12 and water with the heater on full blast. It gets to a little past the middle mark (but again this was in 100 weather in a black car in stop and go and hasn't happened since the sun went down). I checked the bottom rad hose and it was hot so I know the new t-stat is working and NO LEAKS from anywhere. I'll monitor the temp the next few days. Next up will be fixing the connectors on my harness and reinstalling my skid plate and MAYBE my exhaust (liking open DP FOR NOW)

My nice expensive G12 being soaked up by the concrete (upper radiator hose blew off. Stupid clip what a dumb design)

Had to run to the parts store and found a hose with the same shape (proper clamps being used this time)

Depending on this hurricane Saturday has the potential to be a big day. Wish me luck!!
