Alice's Progress
Got it, thanks! Got my rear map light in and of course replaced it with the LED. Also got my shipment in from the retrofit source. My left shines slightly brighter than the right. Is this the bulb or the ballast?
How do you take the trim around the radio and AC and buttons and such? I want to take my aftermarket radio out and put the stock one back in with this. AUDI 98-10 Auxiliary AUX-IN Android iPod Bluetooth Adapter
Almost full LED!

But now I have a problem... Whenever I turn my lights on, just headlights, no fogs, my cruise goes out. It tries, but it won't keep speed. Suggestions? Oh, and I'm DEFINITELY going to the pick 'n' pull tomorrow to ****** up a new seat! I don't need to worry about airbag deployment, do I?

Went to the pick 'n' pull today with the battery. They told me I couldn't bring it in, which is stupid. I asked how they suppose I'd get the seats out, they said that's not their problem...really?! Well, I couldn't go home empty handed, so I picked this up.

I guess I'm gonna need to look over on BaseDrifter's thread again!

You won't have much luck installing those in your car unless you have no fear of a lot of electrical reworking. Even then, I haven't read about many success stories of swapping from a 97 to 2000 cluster.
Check out this thread if you haven't already.

The simplest way (the way I did it) is to swap to a 97 cluster that has an LCD screen. Swapping to cluster style 2 or 3 requires swapping plugs as well.
I assume you don't have adjustable intermittent wipers right now. You won't be able to use that stalk set either since the plugs are different as well. I found that out when I thought simply swapping to a new stalk would work. Not so.

(PS, they won't let you in to the pick n pull with a battery for liability reasons. You could try sneaking a small 12v in with your tools if you really want though. Be aware most harnesses are cut to ****, best bet is to wire directly to the component you need to power.)

Yeah, I went through your thread after I posted mine, and realized that yours was different. Then went through the thread you posted. I didn't realize they made the LCD readout in '97. There's no advantage to the 00-01 cluster opposed to the 96-98, besides the rarity? I couldn't give two ***** about the digital clock, actually like the analog better.
