Ok guys, I really am sorry for continually posting, I know it probably drives you crazy. But today I pulled pins in the taillights one by one until I could get the cruise to work again with the lights on. I know there is probably a more finessed way to do this but it is too late. I put all the pins back where they were, except NOW I have not taillights. AND I have to have my rear fogs on to get my rear taillights on, even the top third light, but the fogs don't come on. WHAT THE HELL. Sorry again guys, and thank you!

Installing the cluster tomorrow. Now, I'm gonna obviously going to have to take the steering wheel off to get to the stalks. Which of course entails taking out the airbag. There aren't any capacitors that store any energy to worry about right? As long as I wait like a half an hour I'll be good, right?

That should be plenty. I've messed with that airbag a decent amount, and never unplugged the battery. Just be gentle, and wait a while (that 1.5 hours will go fast...) and it should be fine.

You've messed with the airbag without unplugging the battery?!

You can start work as soon as the battery is disconnected.

For safety, I still remove the airbag with my body sitting outside the driver's door rather than sitting in front of it. Also lay it on the ground facing up, not down.

Alright, got the stalk hooked up. From pin 1 on the stalk (grey wire) to pin 11 on the cluster, pin 2 ground, pin 3 (green wire) to pin 14 on the cluster, pin 4 (blue wire) to pin 18 on the cluster. I switched the ambient temperature sensor from pin 3 on the old black plug to pin 5 on the new one. Put it back together to see what I'd get. Nothing still, not even the outside temp?

So after this I only have the fuel consumption signal (from ECU), selector level display (is this for auto trans.?), coolant level, radio clock, enable & data, and lights. And I don't have any backlighting for the new cluster? I see on the old one it was pin 4 on the 10 pin plug.

When you tested it did you have the blue and yellow plugs connected? They should be. Coolant level can stay in the same position, pin 20 on the blue connector. It should activate the low coolant warning in the original position, but I suggest you test it.

The cluster illumination power is in blue/yellow plugs. No need to move the power wire going into the black 10 pin.

Selector display is for auto trans only.

I didn't hook up the three radio wires since I have an aftermarket head unit. I grounded out the bulb out warnings.

Yeah, they were all plugged in. Maybe the lights are bad, I'll try switching some good ones over from the old cluster.
