Car threw a rod... sell it?
So on my way into work. My 2000 Audi A4 threw a rod and well... the rest is history..
The exterior is FAIR, I would say.
I do have a touch screen radio I can sell, some tires and rough VMR 710 rims I can sell..
It has a K04 turbo and ECU (and stock ones)...
My question is, should I try to find an engine to drop in it, and have that done and THEN sell it? (or drive it..)
Or should I part it out?
I am sitting on the entire loan of 5k as I have only had the car a few months, and now am in desperate need of a vehicle and money to make up for it.
Also, is it worth anything as it sits? Just sell it as-is and let someone do what they want with it?
Thanks.

Unless its an Enzo, a car with a blown engine is unlikely to get you a grand as it sits. You can find an engine and replace it and that's the route I'd go, although if you can't do this yourself it's going to be costly also.
I would definitely consider a swap you can find some low 100,xxx mile replacements on Your local classifieds (Craig's). https://www.audiforums.com/forum/sho...15#post1409715 PM this guy he did it with little Audi experience in a matter of days. Let us know what you decide, GL!
I sold a 1995 Acura integra with a bad motor for 2000 :-) and when they were towing it they broke the front bumper off lol.
It's sellable. Me and a couple friends buy cars with bad motors all the time. In my area you can get a used 2.8 for about $1,300, and we put it in ourselves. But we wouldn't give you much more than $1,000 or so for it.
