I let the dealership drive the car today and they tell me I need a new driveshaft. Car has a ticking noise and vibration under acceleration. Bad part is the vibration is getting a little violent so I am not sure how much longer it will stay together. I simply dont have the funds for the 400 repair kit and the mechanic is telling me I can get the CV joints themselves and I have read alot of posts on here that say the same thing but I have google until I have a migrane and cant find a single place that sells just the joints.. I figure I can replace the joints first and if that doesnt fix it then I can worry about the carrier bearing since they gave me no indication of what might be bad.. Any help would be great!! He is telling me the joints are only like 35 bucks a peice but I find it hard to beleive given that the repair kit is 400.
