Default grinding in second

hey guys, i have a grinding noise when i have low rpm's in second gear (it goes away when i pass 2500 rpm's) there is not a cel or a code that states a problem, but i was just wondering if there was going to be a longterm negative affect or if there was a way to fix it. ideas?

Is it an actual grinding noise(metal to metal) or are you hearing a vibration?

it definitely sounds more like a grinding noise than a vibration. the pitch goes up slightly as i accelerate if that makes any difference.

Do you feel anything in the pedal when its making that noise?

no odd feeling in the pedal, and the best way to describe the noise is more of a shredding sound than a grinding one. it doesnt happen though if i accelerate slowly in second rather than at a normal or quick pace.

Wow that would have to be a sound I would need to hear to figure out. Could be clutch, flywheel, transmission or even just the metal plate that goes between the block/bellhousing rubbing on the flywheel.
