HID question...Searc = no help
Sineo, I was looking at the Visionbulbs' guide.
Thanks Upstate, that makes more sense. Yeah, all that stuff gets confusing for a DIY noob. I'm trying to do this on my own and it's probably gonna the first time I've ever done this so I wanted to be clear before i started. Now it's a bit more clear of what I have to do. I think I might give it a shot tomorrow or sometime this weekend. Just have to figure out where to mount the ballast and gotta drill the hole perfectly for the wires.

If you have an air intake that has replaced your airbox, there's a bolt on the fender on the passenger side. I used that to mount my passenger side ballast (mine came with mounting brackets). On the driver's side, I had mounted it using one of the fender bolts for the power steering reservoir. Ideally, you'd remove the headlights and mount them beneath there, so they're completely out of the way and hidden. Removing the headlights is easy to do also, so it might be worth your while to do it that way.

Let me understand, you're trying to install HID lights into regular reflector headlights? You do realize you'll be blinding oncoming traffic, right?
For proper use of HID lights you also need PROJECTORS. Otherwise your reflector headlights will disperse the light every which way, blinding others at night and pissing off cops.
If you have projector headlights, disregard my comments, otherwise start looking for projectors.

Some of it may depend on the aiming. I had them in my reflectors for over a year and was never highbeamed once. But it's true that the reflectors will spread the light upward more than a projector does, so there's more of a risk of this.
Yeah, I have projectors, so I'm not worried. BTW...I just got done with the install but I had to ghetto rig the ballasts. I'm probably gonna let it run like that for a month so I can gather up the money to buy proper tools. I'll take some pics and post them on here if you guys wanna see.
