man that old board was a mess. to be honest I'd think that may have caused damage to components on the board. Honestly, for around $30 you can pick up a climate control box on eBay, out of a working car. I would STRONGLY consiter that after seing that old board soldering.

by the way, YOUR work is great. it's a job well done.

http://www.audiworld.com/tech/int5.shtml << OBD without VAG COM using the AC control head. If you have the cheap ebay USB cable, VAG COM may not talk to the AC module. You may have better luck with the serial version or better yet the Ross-Tech cable.

Good job on the cleanup. The before pic soldering was sucky for sure.

After the battery/starter was sorted, did the windows *fix* themselves?

 

Hi, thank you for the replies.

The "chip" on the display board is only a I2C controler, this works fine (controlls the keys and display). But the operation of the valves doesn't work anymore. I think this is not on the display PCB, but on the other PCB in the climate control module.
All technical information of it is very helpful!

I also looking on ebay now, but only found one, for +/- 150 dollar excl. shipment costs :-(
Anyone else better in searching on ebay? :-D
