Upper control arm question

Yes sir. That whole assembly can be taken out and put back together in less than 10 minutes.

ok I just went to do this and am glad you guys told me to but... there still isnt enough room to get the damn bolt out. There is one last bolt holding the plate to the car, but it does not come through to the top... its right next to the hold for the bolt closest to you on the top

If you mean one holding a control arm, you have to tip the shock assembly outward to get a 16mm wrench on the bolt head and another on the nut.

Yank on it.. It'll come off. It's the guide screw ImTheDevil was talking about.
