it looks like the suction pump to me i just had to replace mines not too long ago and there is 2 versions the older "B" verison (cheaper) and a newer "D" verision (more money) but the d version have a different end on it to hold it together better. I think well worth the extra money
it doesn't acullity go to the brake booster is gets fed from the side of the intake manifold and goes to the back side of the valve cover

If you need quick fix for vacuum lines capton tape works like a charm (used in the Printed Circuit Board manufacturing to protect parts of the board from being soldered in the wave soldering machine). It survives high temperatures and is sticky like nothing else.
