I recently purchased an '04 1.8tq and need to put new pads and rotors on it.I read about the "economy brake upgrade" for the B5's that use TT carriers and A8 rotors. My question is, will this work for the B6 as well? or willI need to purchase a B6 specific kit for my new ride? If this has been covered before please excuse me for this is my first post and my limited amount of search time has led to nothing. Thank you for your time and your help.

 

You can use the B5 S4 brakes, they are a direct bolt on. You will need the rotors, calipers, pads and lines.

 

b6 s4 brakes will give u more choices for rims and less weight..

 

Do you have to buy calipers and new lines with the b6 s4 kit?

I am interested too but do not want to get into a big production where I end up having to dump brake fluid etc.

 

yes, with any s4 upgrade, you will be replacing the calipers.

honestly bang for your buck, just get some slotted rotors, better pads (HPS or carbotec bobcats are both popular) and stainless steel lines with motul 5.1 fluid whole thing will be less than $600
