Default Brighter headlights

Hello all. I'm getting ready to make a cross-country trip in my '04 A4 and was hoping someone could give me some input as to what headlights are out there that would be best for night driving. I currently have some PIAAs in there and they don't seem to be any brighter than the stock halogens. I don't have HIDs in the car which is unfortunate, but was hoping there was something out there that would come close to illuminating the roads just as well. Any suggestions for brand, wattage, kelvin, etc.? Thanks in advance.

if u are looking for hid go to ddm tuning and get the h7 55watt 4500 or 6000k Those are as close to white color as u will get with hid. Anything above 6000k starts to look blue and lose lightoutput but the 8000k is still way brighter then stock halegons. Best about this kit is they are direct plug and play.

Thanks man. I'm not looking to go HID, although I should. I only drive the car in the winter months and figured I use it for this road trip because of the gas mileage. I'm moreso looking for a standard halogen bulb that is brighter than the PIAA bulbs I currently have. If you don't know of any off the top of your head it's no biggy. I appreciate the input. Thanks.

well i dunno bout anything being brighter then that. Maybe silverstar. I currently have silverstars in my highbeams and they light up the road further then i can see.

After buying a "better" set of halogen bulbs you will still be disappointed by their performance. For just a few more bucks you should install an HID kit and get over 3 times the amount of light over halogens.
Like they say "Once you bright, you won't go back!"
