I own Audi A4 2005 Avant, 3.0 TDI and Quattro of course

It has weird security system. Key is like this:

And there is additional chip it's black, not very big. I couldn't find image of it over the internet.

It works like that: if it is in the car or 1 meter around the car, i can turn on the ignition and start the car. If it is not - I can't.

It black, sized like a coin.

Can you help me to find out what it is ?

are u trying to say the key is split apart and only works when one half is near the car?
