hi there i have a problem with my a4 2005 auto. on standstill i cant hear anything but when i hit 10mph theres a loud clicking noise which gets faster as i accelerate, it dies down a little when i hit 40mph. could this be a cv joint or drive shaft. car has done 53k

 

Check all the joints... drive shaft half shafts... over time the holes where the pins are secured or the pins themselves may wear and the hole is no longer perfect. Just a guess, but if you hold the different shafts and rotate them back and forth they should feel tight, if not I would investigate those joints closely. Hope this helps
