Default Water Leak Inside my car

2006 A4 2.0 Quattro

I recently changed the wiper transmission link. I thought I had put everything back in order and the wipers work fine. Recently we had some heavy rains overnight and i noticed a pool of water in the mat of the driver's side floorboard. The water seems to be dripping from underneath the dash above the pedals/under the steering column. Could my installation of the transmission link cause this or am I dealing with an entirely new problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is what i followed:

i 786 i Thanks for your input. It's greatly appreciated. I checked for any debris under the hood and didn't find anything. I flushed out the sunroof drainage line w/ an air compressor and a bunch of debris was cleared out from there. Would you happen to know if the plenim chamber drain holes empty out at the same release point as the sunroof's drainage?

No it doesn't. The Plenum drain is under the battery

the windsheild deflector needs to secure tightly in the the groove of the windshield it directs most of the water away from the firewall.

leaves in the plenum is the most common water leak causes
