Default Brake upgrade? anyone?

Hi, did anyone find an upgrade for rotors, pads and lines for the B8?

i agree 100%, but after few laps on the track, the stock brakes start to over heat and loose friction.

Try Alcon
http://www.alcon.co.uk/brakekits.html

You can get them from Stasis Engineering.

We offer custom Wilwood setups, even in a 2 piece rotor.

For 99.5% of us, the stock setup is more than needed. A few of us may want to upgrade for track days and/or long steep mountain passes but for the most part, aftermarket pads would be enough of an improvement.

Keep in mind, bolting on big giant 2/4/6 piston brakes can add lots of unsprung weight and end up make your car feel more like a bread truck than a track car...although a short stopping bread truck...

I totaly agree with you Poppy, stock setup is great, i m looking for aftermarket pads and maybe slotted rotors. Hawk made a mistake on there site, they think the 2008 and the 2009 are the same?!? so guys if u do order pads for your B8 make sure you choose the 2010 when they come out.

Default pad upgrade

Stasis offers a front pad upgrade for their touring cars. They are made by carbotech part number ct1322AX6 I have used then on a track day along with the stasis SS brake lines and there was zero brake fade. The AX6 pads although their grip is great, they are somewhat noisy for street use. http://www.ctbrakes.com/pads/audi.html. These pads are not listed for the B8 A4 on their site but are listed for the A5/S5. If our cars have the same front brake setup as the 08+ A5/S5 then this opens pads upgrade options for instance, I have heard good things about their Bobcat 1521 pads.
