Hi! I know this has been posted on in a while, but I bought my 2012 A4Q (CAEB) in May 2018 (72k miles). May 2019 - Present, I have spent close to $3k on timing chain/guides, cam valve, and water pump. I don't believe I received any letter. I went to the timingchainlitigation.com website, but it said my VIN does not qualify. I am feeling sick about this, thinking that I may have missed the deadline, and am now sitting at 86k miles (Timing related CEL happened around ~82-83k miles), with $3k in work done, and still not done.

If anyone received the letter RE: timing chain, or anyone who has tried to receive reimbursement/repair for their timing chain, etc. after the lawsuit, or anyone who has anyone additional information, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Default Guess who's 2012 Timing chain just went

My 2012 A5 Quattro was showing a check engine light, the car was running fine but drinking oil like someone on a bender. A local store read the code as a malfunctioning turbo charger assembly. I called for a service visit but it was the holidays and they had no loaners so I drove it. A week later it was idling rough one day and the next day it died. I'm told it was the timing chain and I need a new engine. Oh and a used replacement engine may or may not come with the turbocharger assembly so that may come on top of the new (used) engine. Any active lawsuits out there that I can join in with!

Have you received any information on the class action lawsuit? My 2014 is in the shop and they want $11k to fix the timing chain issue.
